Rotary Meeting - "Dementia - reducing the risk and living with it"

Date: Tuesday Feb 26, 2019, 6:00 pm

We all get old and bits wear out.  When it is our brain that looses its capacity to function we become frustrated with ourselves and sometimes difficult to live with.  Join us tonight to hear from Ann Donaghy and Michelle Schlitter of Centacare talk about what it means to be dementia aware - how to reduce the risk of dementia, how to live with it while maintaining dignity and a sense of worth, how to live with a person who has dementia

Rotary Meeting - 'Your bits can help someone else'

Date: Tuesday Mar 5, 2019, 6:00 pm

Did you know more than 1,400 people are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant, yet only one in three Australians is a donor?

Thanks to the generosity of deceased organ donors and their families, thousands of Australians are given a second chance at life.

Even though the majority of us believe it’s important to register as an organ donor, only one in three of us actually do so.  Most families agree to a donation if the deceased was a registered organ donor, while only half agree if the deceased was not registered.

Join us tonight to hear how you can become an organ donor and save a life through your decision.
