James has been a champion of Bowelscan in our District, fulfilling the Executive Officer role for many years and undertaking a multitude of tasks that ensure the successful functions of the annual screening kit testing campaigns. This extends to being the 1300 telephone number contact, organising kit stocks, liaison with the pathology laboratory, confidential data manager and using his garage as an operational nerve centre.
He has been a passionate advocate in driving Bowelscan for all of Queensland. Highlights include the memorable underwear focused publicity initiative and the Undie Sunday promotional event. More recently he has been enthusiastic about the extension of Bowelscan via social media platforms to younger adults.
James commitment to a healthier community has made a difference to many people.
He is now a Ruby Paul Harris Fellow.
