In his presentation Carlos divided the labour force into 3 key types: hands on, mind and heart. It touched on the trends of employment in the Australian market, having customer care the "heart' type, with imminent and long-term shortages of 5.5 million professionals. According to Deloitte, the area of focus for transitioning the current skill set from "hands on" to mind and heart, is to have the employees being trained internally, instead of externally, bringing immediate on job benefits.
Overall, it brought positivism to all 120+ participants from our community, planting new insights into how to tackle our current and future challenges.
