Rotary Meeting

Members and guests will have a chance to share a glimpse into our Club’s earliest days when we welcome Betty Crowther as our special guest next Tuesday, February 28.

Betty was the wife of the inaugural President of the Rotary Club of Cleveland, Dr Parker Bottomley. He was one of a small number of GP’s in Cleveland at that time.

At the age of 92 Betty is an amazingly active and eloquent person. Some of the club will remember her from the 60th Club Anniversary Dinner and her recollections of Cleveland in the early days and of the Foundation of the Club.

Betty and her son John will be visiting the club on Tuesday, 28^th February, and Betty will be having a conversation with the club on early days in Cleveland and the formation of the Club - a night not to be missed as the last remaining direct link to our formation.

It will be interesting, so please bring your partners and guests.

Members - please be reminded it is club policy that Members not attending, who do not apologise by 7pm Sunday, will be billed.
